Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW):
Reinforcing its position as a key international cybersecurity platform
In 2020, H+K Singapore was appointed to provide PR support for Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW). We have been driving media relations outreach for SICW for four consecutive annual editions to date.
Due to COVID-19, SICW 2020 was held in a hybrid event format for the very first time. Despite various limitations, H+K publicized the event as a key international cyber discussion platform, profiled and communicated Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA)’s announcements and efforts in creating a safer cyberspace in Singapore, and profiled Singapore’s continued leadership in the space.
On top of a strong media story bank that helped to garner coverage around SICW’s key event sessions and launches, H+K Singapore developed a set of media reporting guidelines for online event sessions, managed the media accreditation process, and disseminated a series of media releases and factsheets for a smooth facilitation of the event.
H+K Singapore also worked with key local, international, and trade media, such as Bloomberg TV, CNA, The Edge Singapore, and ComputerWeekly, and secured interviews for Mr S Iswaran (Minister for Communications and Information and Minister-in-charge of Cybersecurity, Singapore), Mr David Koh (Chief Executive, Cyber Security Agency of Singapore), and other high-profile spokespeople who attended the event.
H+K’s efforts, despite a short and limited time frame, garnered a total of 258 articles across print, broadcast, and online. As of 23 October 2020, total AVE generated was over S$1.2 million.
